Rita Lee, MD is an Associate Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She received her medical degree at the University of California, Los Angeles and completed Internal Medicine Residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
She hold several roles including:
- Co-Director of the Leadership in Education Administration Program (LEAP), a faculty development program
- Associate Director for the School of Medicine’s Mentored Scholarly Activity (for Public Health, Community Health, and Epidemiology)
- Co-Director, Culture, Health, Equity, and Society Thread at the School of Medicine
- Faculty for the LEADS (Leadership and Advocacy) Track
She has a passion for medical education, leadership development, and advocacy. Her advocacy work has been primarily around lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender health equity. She is certified in several leadership development instruments, including the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI), Emotional Intelligence (EQi2.0, EQ360, TESI), and Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation (FIRO-B/FIRO-Business).
