Molly McHenry obtained her BSN and FNP degrees at Columbia University. She began her nursing career as a staff nurse on an HIV/AIDS floor at Cornell Hospital in Manhattan in 2010.
While in school at Columbia, several of her rotations were completed at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center working on a mobile medical van providing care to street involved and homeless youth through the Health Outreach to Teens (HOTT) program. She went on to work as an NP for four years at Fenway Health in Boston within the adolescent and young adult primary care clinic. In 2017 she moved back to her home town of Cincinnati, Ohio to provide medical care to transgender children, adolescents and young adults at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Transgender Clinic which serves young people from Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Indiana. Molly has extensive training in providing care utilizing a harm-reduction approach, with a specific focus on caring for LGBTQ and HIV+ youth.
