We will now focus on curriculum integration. In particular, you will learn how to scan your course or clerkship syllabus and integrate content that is related to sexual and gender minority health.
We will walk you through a seven-step process. Step one outlines professional competencies your trainees should acquire in order to improve healthcare for SGM patients. Step two covers how to brainstorm instances where SGM health content is relevant to your course or clerkship. Steps three and four cover key resources and experts available to support you. Step five covers ways to work with your colleagues. Step six covers ways to review and update any existing SGM content in your course or clerkship. Step seven covers ways to incorporate new SGM health content.
By the end, you will be able to explain the step-by-step process and integrate SGM health content into your course or clerkship.
