The 2022 monkeypox (MPX) outbreak disproportionately affects gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM). Although severe illness from MPX has been rare, many affected individuals are experiencing a painful illness that takes weeks to resolve, and they may face stigma related to the illness and/or their sexual orientation.
